Speaker's Bureau and Tours

We’d like to visit your community and talk about the services that we bring to your home or business every day. If you know of a community or neighborhood group that would like a speaker from the Water and Sewerage Department, or if you would like to learn more about our school education programs or tours, please contact us at public.affairs@dwsd.org or call (313) 964-9576.

Public tours of our Water Works Park Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant have resumed on a limited basis. The Department will give tours for school groups and professional organizations from March through May, and in September and October, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tours are available for students in sixth grade and up. Please plan to allow 45 minutes for your visit; on-site parking is available. For tour guidelines, click here.
